The 18-year-old man who was shot at Holmlia in Oslo on Monday evening has so far not wanted to explain himself to the police. No one has been arrested in the case.

It was around 9.15pm that the shooting took place at a kindergarten in Asperudveien in Holmlia, south of Oslo.

– No arrests have been made. We are still working with interrogations to map the sequence of events. We also have objects in our possession which we are analyzing. No weapon has been seized, says police prosecutor Benedicte Melling in the Oslo police district to NTB.

– What is the condition of the victim?

– He is not critically or life-threateningly injured, and his condition is stable.

– Has he been questioned?

– He did not want to give an explanation today, but we are still in dialogue with him.

The 18-year-old was shot in the upper body, and the police are investigating the shooting as attempted murder.

The police continued their work at the scene on Tuesday. When Nordstrands Blad visited the nursery on Tuesday afternoon, forensic technicians were on site with a metal detector. They looked in bushes and thickets and in several of the climbing frames in the nursery. One of the police’s sniffer dogs was also at work in the area.

The kindergarten was open as normal, but the children were kept inside.
