They have sung in front of the mirror, dreamed of the big stages and now one of them is a few weeks away from sharing the VG-Lista Top 40 stage with some of the country’s biggest artists.
Meet the three finalists in “VG-Lista Top 40 Feat You”.
Now they are fighting again for the audience’s hearts and votes in the battle to appear on the VG-Lista Top 40.
Over the next few weeks, three finalists will become one winner. This year’s finalists in the competition “VG-Lista Top 40 Feat You” are:
- Kamila Hemmat
- Lea Kulland Solfjeld
- Ida Sofie Fritzø Withers
They have already been through several selections.
A few days ago there were six semi-finalists, but the public voted for their favourites.
In the semi-final, all the artists covered a song from a well-known artist, who has previously been on the VG-Lista Top 40.
That list is a weekly overview of the 40 most popular songs in Norway, based on sales and streaming.

The three artists who have progressed to the final will now receive professional help to improve the production of their song.
All three will collaborate with their respective record companies. Whoever gets the most votes gets to perform on the VG-Lista Top 40 stage on Friday 21 June.
Kamila Hemmat (19) will now work with Sony to improve her performance of “BARAF/FAIRUZ” by Karpe.

Lea Kulland Solfjeld (18) chose to sing “I love you, but” by Ramón.
In the next few days, she will get help from Warner to increase her chances of winning.

Ida Sofie Fritzø Visnes (26) chose “What’s In It For Me” by Amy Diamond. She gets help from Universal.

During Scandinavia’s biggest free concert at Rådhusplassen in Oslo, the winner of “VG-Lista Top 40 Feat You” gets to stand on stage together with a number of well-known artists.
Vjollca Moazzem, who is responsible for VG-Lista Top 40, describes the competition as a mix between “The Voice”, “Idol” and “Hver gang vi møtes”.
– We want to give undiscovered talents a completely new platform where they can show off, she has previously said.
