Crime and justice: The police previously did not want to say anything about the size of the seizure or what kind of drugs the two had with them when they got off the MS Stavangerfjord.
Now, however, the police can confirm to Bergens Tidende that the seizure is the largest nationwide so far this year.
Police attorney Jørgen Henriksen in the West police district states that it is about 46 kilos of hashish, about 20 kilos of amphetamine and just under six kilos of ecstasy.
– We are talking about a very significant drug seizure, and the penalty for importing it is high, says Henriksen. The penalty is imprisonment for up to 15 years.
He reserves that they still have not received the results from an analysis that Kripos will do of the substance, and whether the two who were arrested and imprisoned actually knew what they had in the car.
– It is something we are investigating, says Henriksen.
