Troms was a weather winner in the Easter week. The good weather continues this week. Well, with one ever-so-small exception.
Late on Tuesday evening, a polar low pressure will arrive towards Troms. The low pressure is so strong that the Meteorological Institute has issued a yellow warning for snowpack.
“There will be snow and strong winds of changing direction and this can be experienced very locally,” the warning says.
– A little reminder
It’s all short-lived. As early as Wednesday morning, the good weather will return, the meteorologist promises.
– There will be a small reminder of where we live, you could say. But then the cloud layer breaks up on Wednesday.
– I will dare to say that it will be good until Saturday.
– You dare?
– Yes.
Low night temperatures
The reason is a high pressure that has positioned itself favorably for Troms. It gives clear weather, but no spring temperatures. The air masses come from the north.
– High pressure does not equate to heat. Now cold air from the north is coming in, explains the meteorologist.
– In Tromsø, we don’t get more than three or four minus degrees during the day.
At night, the thermometer will show well below minus ten degrees in Tromsø. In Bardufoss, it is down to minus 17-18 degrees, according to the forecasts.
However, the long-term forecasts show that temperatures will be higher again next week.
