The emergency police carried out a laser check on Easter Sunday on Hollavegen in Skien. The patrol had enough to do in the scant two hours along national highway 36.

Nine simplified notices were issued for speeding offences. Three people were stripped of their driving licenses in connection with the check.

Two of the driving license seizures came after speeding at 118 and 86 kilometers per hour respectively in the 60 zone. The last lost his driver’s license because of too many dots.

Another police patrol had chosen Håkanesvegen as a checkpoint for Easter traffic on Monday afternoon. Seven simplified notices were issued there for speeding in the 60-zone. In addition, a driver was reported for the highest measured speed of 87 kilometers per hour.

The emergency police have also been in place along National Highway 36 on Sunday afternoon and evening. Here, a check was carried out from 16:45 to 18:50. The result was 13 simplified submissions. The highest speed that was achieved was 99 km/h in the 70 zone.

The police were also present along the E134 in Notodden on Sunday. Here, 8 simplified orders were issued. The highest measured speed was 89 km/h in the 70 zone. The speed check was held in the period from 17.40 to 19.40.
