The director of the Business Association in the Stavanger region has designed the new Vestlandet. He predicts a dark future for Bergen.

– B for Bergen and B for backwater. The city can only lie there between the mountains. For us it means goodbye.

That’s what Harald Minge, director of the Business Association in the Stavanger region, says. He predicts that the government’s decision to drop Hordfast will have dramatic consequences for Bergen. Because roads are being built like never before around Stavanger.

  • Rogfast will be completed in 2033. This is an underwater tunnel under the Boknafjorden.
  • In addition, Nye veier is in full swing building a motorway between Kristiansand and Ålgård.

When everything is finished, the siddis will take two hours to Kristiansand and just over an hour to Stord.

– New industrial adventures are on the way, and good infrastructure is going to be absolutely crucial when new jobs are to be created. Bergen is going to be a dead end, predicts Minge.
