Linni Meister escaped to the mountains after the flood of rumours

It has been turbulent weeks for Linni Meister (37) and her boyfriend Morten Rognstad (45). A rumor that Linni has had a love affair with an international celebrity has flared up again.

It got so bad that Linni ran away with her boyfriend to Hemsedal to talk things out. It was precisely there that they experienced their very first love weekend almost a year ago.

Feeling rumours

– It’s no secret that there have been some ups and downs in our relationship, but now we are as happy as when we met. Morten is an understanding guy who has gotten to know me. He knows that I would never do anything that could threaten our happiness, says Linni after a few days off in the mountains.

– Haven’t closed that door

Here they have nurtured their love in peace and quiet, and not least they have been able to talk about the ugly rumors that have been circulating for a long time.

Got a shock

– Now we can be lovers when we want and where we want and not hide our love from anyone. It was perfectly fine to be Linni’s mysterious boyfriend for a while, and absolutely necessary for our relationship to get off to a good start. I’m not the type to stand in the limelight, Linni can do that perfectly on her own, Morten smiles and holds his girlfriend close.

He realizes that it is her celebrity status that has caused the rumors to swirl.

It went so far that a British journalist from England’s biggest newspapers came unannounced to the door at home in Holmenkollen.

– Then I got a shock, says Linni.

Didn’t like the situation

– I was called by my son, Dennis, that there was a lady outside who wanted to talk to me. I asked him to put the mobile phone in to the speaker connected to the front door so I could talk to her. She introduced herself as a journalist from London and wanted an interview.

– “What do you want from me?” I asked.

– I was told that it was about a flirtation I should have had with an international star. After that, she became threatening, and made it clear that if I did not cooperate, the matter would be published without my participation.

– Have our ups and downs

– No, I said clearly. I ended the call when I felt the panic coming on.

An assault

– I called Morten and a good friend of mine to ask for advice and comfort. Then and there I felt this as an assault and a breach of privacy. And poor Dennis who was alone at home and became scared and insecure because of what happened. For several weeks and months I was also afraid of what would be published, but fortunately nothing more came of this non-issue, says Linni relieved.

Linni can tell Se og Hør that two years ago she had a brief flirtation with a mega-celebrity.

– I’m a flirty person, but let’s leave it at that. Now that I’ve met Morten, I don’t want a false rumor to ruin our happiness. I still think with horror what would have happened if the story of the British journalist had come to print. Then I would have had many sleepless nights, says Linni, and adds:

– It is unfortunately the case that malicious rumors easily gain ground and become the truth. It will linger for many years, and can be very damaging to the person concerned, says Linni Meister and breathes a sigh of relief.

Now the love for Morten has full focus!
