Queen Margrethe slaughtered for “climate roars”

Queen Margrethe (82) of Denmark is also one of those who use her plane diligently to travel around the world, and now she is harshly criticized for what the Danish newspaper BT calls a “climate roarer”.

Because during the Queen’s recent visit to London, she is said to have chosen to fly, in addition to being transported with her car – an Audi A8 – from Denmark.

The driver in the car thus drove 2,600 kilometers round trip through Europe to reach Queen Margrethe, who herself had flown into London, according to BT.

This comes after the Queen’s New Year’s speech, where she placed particular emphasis on the fact that we all have a heavy and collective responsibility in connection with climate change. According to Danish BT, she must have asked everyone to pull together and take a serious look at the climate crisis during the speech.

– Well, I’m actually a bit speechless. In her New Year’s speech, the Queen said that we all had to make an effort during the climate crisis – and then she sends an Audi from Denmark to England – on a private holiday in London and flies herself. It’s absolutely crazy, he says to BT

The royal house expert nevertheless suspects that the queen’s climate-focused New Year’s speech was not just her idea.

– I think these are thoughts that were born in the Prime Minister’s office and then it is the Queen who says it, he says, adding that it is something that should have been thought through more.

Jensen nevertheless has great respect for the fact that the royal family must use planes to carry out their work, but he is critical of the fact that the trip to London was a holiday trip with few work-related tasks.

– Why on earth don’t you rent a car in London, he asks.
