Last weekend, the celebrities, TV profiles and the rest of the TV industry traveled to Bergen on the occasion of the annual Gullruten awards. In keeping with tradition, the award ceremony took place in Grieghallen, and it was Helene Olafsen (34) who led the audience through the broadcast.
Tells about the Trump affair
As expected, the show offered more than just a reading of the nominees and winners. Olafsen, together with several dancers, could put on a small dance show between the beats.
It did not go down well with everyone.
Nettavisen’s entertainment commentator Maria Ludvigsen published a comment in the aforementioned newspaper on Monday in which she criticizes the feature. Ludvigsen clarifies that it is not Olafsen that the criticism is aimed at, but is strongly opposed to the fact that it was carried out.
“Who the hell came up with this? Who put Helene Olafsen in this hopeless situation? Who in the world thinks that this is a good piece of entertainment?”, Ludvigsen rages.
“It was not funny. Not interesting either, beyond the fact that one wonders how it is possible to come up with something like that? It wasn’t particularly delicious either.”
– Thought I was going to die
The commentator writes that the idea, which she describes as really bad, should have been stopped, and that the presenter was the one who had to suffer when it was not.
“Someone has to go. TV 2 at least owes Helene Olafsen a fat apology”.
Now Olafsen has seen himself obliged to respond to the criticism. She does this through a Story on Instagram.
“Perhaps I feel I need to explain a little more. So this was my idea, and I’m super proud of the work we did. And with my hand on my heart: I have never received so many pleasant and fun feedback on a job I have ever done. Nor often have I experienced being defended to such an extent in the comment fields”, writes the 34-year-old, and at the same time thanks for the support.
