Lilli Bendris with a revelation about Martha Louise and Durek Verrett’s upcoming wedding

Norwegian celebrities flocked to The Hub in Oslo on Monday evening, where they were asked to find their best outfits – as if they were going to the “Met Gala” itself.

The official gala will take place in New York on the night of Tuesday Norwegian time, and is one of the biggest events in the fashion world.

Being accused of cheating

On that occasion, Dagbladet had a chat with TV personality and “medium” Lilli Bendriss (77), known to many from the popular program “Åndenes makt”.

The 77-year-old was, not surprisingly, dressed in an extravagant outfit where the reuse and re-sewing trend was in focus.

– The Met Gala is where you go all out, but I didn’t have anything lying around. So I thought this would be good enough, the 77-year-old tells Dagbladet, before adding:

– I have used it on several occasions. I wore the dress at the Elle gala, and I wore the cap at Gullruten this weekend. I try to combine and reuse my things.

Furthermore, she says that she is happy that reuse and recycling have become a trend, also on the red carpet:

– Before, you couldn’t go with something you had used before. They made an expensive outfit that was only to be worn once, which is very wasteful. So I’m really happy that we can reuse and re-sew things. It is good that we have started to think like that.

Bendriss is good friends with Princess Märtha Louise (52), and together they have the podcast “HeartSmart Conversations”, which they also run with Mari Manzetti.

Despite the recycling trend, the TV personality is thinking anew when it comes to the upcoming wedding of the princess and Durek Verett in Geiranger in August.

– No, then it will be new. After all, there are three evenings with three different outfits, and one evening may be reused. But on the day itself, something new will happen.

However, she will not reveal exactly what she wants to wear on the big day:

– It’s a secret, so no one will know until the day. But I’m really looking forward to it, it will be a lot of fun, says Bendriss.

Many took it hard when “The Power of Spirits” gave in after 16 years and 17 seasons, but as a plaster on the wound, the 77-year-old reveals that she is nowhere near retiring.

– I work and keep going, even though I am of retirement age. Among other things, I work with live podcasts throughout the autumn.

She also confirms that she will continue to work on the podcast together with Märtha Louise.
