But readers in Australia and the UK won’t be served the details when Rebel Wilson’s biography has just been launched there.
The controversy started when the Australian Wilson launched the book “Rebel Rising” in the United States in March.
In the American version, the film star revealed a male co-star, who she claims treated her very badly on set.
“Massive piece of shit,” were the words she used.
Although Wilson did not name the person in question in the book, she went out on social media and stated that it was British Sacha Baron Cohen.
They played a married couple in the 2016 film “Grimsby”.
“I don’t want to be bullied into silence by expensive lawyers or PR crisis managers”, Wilson explained.
Cohen’s lawyers quickly dismissed Wilson’s claims as “provably false.”
In the wake of the dispute, the Australian and British editions have been delayed. But now it is in place on the shop shelves there too – mind you without the part dealing with Cohen.
Publisher HarperCollins, which publishes the book, said in a statement to the New York Times that they “have taken out most of a particular page for legal reasons”.

Cohen’s apparatus believes that the publisher’s handling “proves that the book content is not correct”.
However, Wilson stands his ground.
