Solveig Barstad ran away with a good price – her strong words hit right in the heart

--

Long-standing TV 2 presenter Solveig Barstad (57) has become a TV legend after leading “TV 2 helps you” for a number of years.

Since 1995, she has been associated with TV 2, first as program manager and editorial manager in “Good morning Norway” before in 2000 she took over as presenter in “TV 2 helps you» after Arve Juritzen.

“TV 2 helps you” as a TV program is now history, and this weekend she was praised for her efforts in the program, and on TV 2 for a number of years.

Solveig Barstad received an honorary award

When the honorary award was to be handed out during the Gullruten in Grieghallen in Bergen, it was Solveig Barstad who ran away with the award.

– Wow. Thank you very, very much. This was very violent indeedBarstad said from the stage before pointing out that “TV 2 helps you” has been nominated several times without winning.

She will therefore also dedicate the honorary award to the program she led for a number of years.

Then come Barstad’s important words:

– Consumer journalism is important. There is everything from simple cases to complicated, digging and conflict-filled matters. But they have one thing in common; that they concern people’s everyday lives and wallets. That is why it is importantshe says forcefully from the stage.

Barstad adds that it is not a matter of course that a commercial TV channel should allow an editorial team to run wild with advertisers in prime time. She thanks TV 2 for the opportunity to do just that.

– There are so many people who have a piece of the Gullruten here that I would like to thank in person. Then we would have stayed until tomorrow. I have been lucky enough to have been allowed to work with some of the very best people in the industry. There are so many people behind a TV production.

– The people I have worked with have inspired me, taught me and they have made my everyday work better, easier and more fun. If it hasn’t been so funny, they have performed extra well and I am very grateful for that. Many thanks to the world’s best colleagues at TV 2 and Mastiff who have made these programmes. And not least to my nice and patient familysays Barstad during the distribution.

This is what she said to TV 2 after the victory was a fact:

– It’s really nice and quite simply overwhelming actually. If you imagine that you will receive the honorary award, then you have a serious problemshe said with a laugh.

Ledet TV 2 has been helping you for 22 years

Barstad led the program for 22 years and has addressed countless consumer-related questions, mainly complaints from ordinary consumers.

In 2022, it became known that the program will be taken off the screen, but the TV program continues online and Barstad is still a consumer expert on TV 2’s platforms.

– I am grateful that I have been able to lead the program for 22 of these years and proud of what we have achieved. I am also happy that the watchdog function will continue on TV2.no, and that I can contribute to ensuring that Norwegian consumers will continue to receive our help. In addition, I have expressed that I also want other work tasks and look forward with great pleasure to getting started on itBarstad stated in the press release from the channel then.

Before TV 2, Barstad visited NRK as a channel host. In the 90s, she was a popular “hello lady” who introduced programs and films on the state channel.

Appeared in Good Morning Norway

Last year, Barstad also surprised viewers when she suddenly appeared in Good Morning Norway.

The reason was that presenter Desta Marie Beeder was ill with covid-19, and thus Barstad stepped in as a substitute.

Privately, Barstad is married to a politician Jan Tore Sanner and together they have two daughters.

Congratulations on the award Solveig! You are a wonderfully talented presenter.
