Film star Pierce Brosnan (70) is best known for having played James Bond himself through four films.
From being used to seeing Brosnan dressed in suits in the role of agent 007, his new role as the trainer of the famous boxer Prince Naseem Hamed (50) therefore came as a shock.
Risking prison
Photos from the film set in England show Brosnan with unusually thin and white hair and round glasses, wearing a large beige training jacket and black trousers.
The 70-year-old has made a number of headlines in several media. The New York Post writes, among other things, that he is “unrecognizable”, and in the comments section a fan writes, among other things:
“If he had drooled, he could have been Biden.”
While another writes:
“He still looks classy.”
According to Variety, the Irish actor has been given the role of the Irish-born coach Brendan Igle, and actor Sylvester Stallone (77) will be on board as an executive.
Responding to the rumours
Avisa also writes that the film is about the true story of Hamed’s humble beginnings in the harsh conditions of the working class in Sheffield, and his discovery of Ingle, a steel industry worker who became a boxing trainer. This led to an unusual partnership.
