Industry heavy Dow Jones ended up 0.75 percent to 39,806.72 points. Wide S&P 500 increased 0.36 percent to 5,241.03 points. The technology index Nasdaq ended up 0.20 percent to 16,401.84 points.

The computer chip manufacturer Broadcom rose 5.64 percent to $1,348, after the company held an event focused on its capabilities in artificial intelligence, which has received noticeably positive attention from Wall Street analysts.
Micron Technology rose 14.13 percent to $109.85, after the semiconductor maker posted quarterly numbers that beat analysts’ expectations. At the same time, the management guided for higher than expected results and revenues for the current quarter.
Meta ended up 0.44 percent at $507.76, Amazon held steady at 0 percent increase to $178.15, while Netflix fell 0.79 percent to $622.71. Alphabet fell 0.77 percent to $147.60.

210,000 Americans applied for unemployment benefits for the first time in the week up to and including March 16, down from 212,000 the week before, today’s jobless claims figures from the US Department of Labor showed. A figure of 215,000 was expected in advance.
Oil and crypto
WTI oil ended down 0.27 percent at $81.05 a barrel. North Sea oil Brent (Spot) ended down 0.07 percent to 85.64 dollars a barrel.
Bitcoin ended down 0.69 percent at $64,871 per coin. Ethereum shares the decline and trades 0.72 percent down to $3,436.74 per Ethereum.
