– We have a security team that will look after us there, says Marcus Gunnarsen to the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet.

Marcus and Martinus Gunnarsen will represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Unforgettable”. The final takes place in Malmö on Saturday 11 May.

The two 22-year-olds have been given instructions on how to get into the arena and other security-related matters, the newspaper writes.

Martinus Gunnarsen says they should just focus on their performance, while the security team takes care of theirs.

– For us, it feels very good, he says to Aftonbladet.

The singing competition is particularly controversial this year, after the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) decided to allow Israel to participate – despite the war in Gaza.

4,000 artists from the Nordic countries are among those who have advocated a boycott of Israel in Eurovision.

Last week it was announced that both Norwegian and Danish police will assist Sweden in ensuring security during the competition.

Up to 100,000 visitors are expected in Malmö in the period 5 to 11 May, which is the big final day. The police in Malmö have received several applications to hold demonstrations.
