VG wrote yesterday about students who are banned after demonstrations that have occupied the campus at Columbia University in New York for several days.

Other students are denied access to the reading rooms and lecture rooms, and the students were given a deadline to leave the area.

At the same time, there were disturbances at several other universities.

On the night of May 1, there is another disturbance at the university, and according to ABC, the management has given permission to the New York police to enter the area.

Photos from the scene show the police entering ready with strips, and protected by helmets.

According to AP, the target of the police action this time will be the building Hamilton Hall, an administration building that students have occupied since Tuesday morning.

They are met with protesters who shout tactfully: “NYPD, KKK, IDF, they’re all the same”. They therefore equate the New York police, the racist organization Ku Klux Klan, and the Israeli Defense Forces, the IDF.

The mayor of New York, Eric Adams, came earlier on Tuesday with a call to the students who are still campaigning in this way.

– Withdraw from this now, and continue your fight by other means.

– This must end now.

According to national security adviser John Kirby, President Biden has described the student actions as “absolutely the wrong approach”
