In a statement, the Russian Investigative Committee said the attackers had received significant sums in cash and cryptocurrency from Ukraine.

– As a result of the work with the arrested terrorists, an investigation of technical equipment seized from them and analysis of financial transactions, evidence of their connections with Ukrainian nationalists has been obtained, the committee writes in the statement.

In addition, the committee states on Thursday that a further suspect is in custody. The person must have been involved in financing the terror, the statement says.

At least four armed men entered the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk, just outside Moscow, on Friday night. 143 people were killed when the perpetrators shot at civilians both in the foyer and inside the hall before setting fire to the concert hall.
