A British woman has filed a lawsuit against the British healthcare system.
The woman is demanding ten million pounds after a bizarre accident at a swingers club, reports Stoke-on-Trent Live newspaper.
This corresponds to around NOK 135 million at today’s exchange rate.

Everything went wrong
In August 2021, the woman suffered a broken neck at the swingers’ club Infusion in Blackpool.
The club has both an orgy room, pool table and a nine-metre long swimming pool where you can swim naked.
The woman was about to dive into the swimming pool when everything went wrong.
She plunged headfirst into the shallow end of the pool, hitting the bottom.

– Can’t walk or work
In the lawsuit, you can read that the employees at the club were very careful when they picked her up from the pool, and that it was her partner who called for emergency help.
The woman claims that the paramedics were not careful and that they handled her in a way that “caused further injury and paralysis”.
Since the accident, she has reportedly not been able to walk, work or manage without help.

Carried out in a wheelchair
The woman claims that the paramedics did not consider the possibility that she had suffered a neck injury, and that they therefore did not take the necessary precautions to prevent the injury from getting worse.
She states that they transported her out of the swingers’ club in a wheelchair, without supporting her head at all, and that the hospital staff did not understand the seriousness of it either.
Now she expects compensation from both the North West Ambulance Services Trust and the Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The hospital has not yet commented on the lawsuit to the British media.
The ambulance service tells the tabloid newspaper The Mirror that “it is inappropriate to comment” on the case.
