At around 5 pm on Wednesday, a three-year-old boy disappeared from his home in Ljusne in Söderhamn municipality in Sweden. Since then, no one has seen him.

The three-year-old was reported missing at 17.16 on Wednesday, just over a quarter of an hour after he was last observed.

The police have put a lot of resources into the search for the boy, and have been searching all night. Both the house and the neighborhood have been searched.

– Now we have expanded the search, and are looking with dogs and have called for help from a helicopter, says spokesperson Tobias Ahlén Svalbro to Aftonbladet.

The police had to cancel the helicopter search due to heavy rain, but the search will continue on Thursday. Since midnight, more than 160 people from the voluntary organization Missing people have also participated in the search, and the police use boats in the hunt for the three-year-old.

– We are looking for a child. We have no information whatsoever that it is a child who has drowned, but there is water near the house where the boy was last seen, Svalbro says to SVT.

The boy was only wearing a blue t-shirt and diaper when he disappeared from the home on Wednesday afternoon. Swedish police do not currently suspect that anything criminal has happened.
