Summer cabin, Jamina Heggedal | “Sommerhytta”-Jamina confessed the crush to his wife: Was told to date other people

These days, the new season of the popular TV 2 programme, “Sommerhytta” is on the TV screen. There, four couples will each refurbish their cabin and fight to keep their summer cabin on idyllic Kungsvik, which is located near Strømstad in Sweden.

In this year’s season, only two couples are taking part, one of the couples is Stine Gabrielsen (47) and Jamina Heggedal (45). The couple were looking for a new challenge in their everyday life and therefore “Sommerhytta” was an excellent adventure.

Gabrielsen and Heggedal have been together for 15 years and married for four years. The couple met for the first time when they lived in the same apartment block in Oslo, and they had eyes for each other.

But none of them were single.

Checked up on the neighbor

When TV 2 visited the home of the “Sommerhytta” couple, they were able to reveal more details from the start of the relationship.

In 2003, they lived in separate apartments at Rødtvet in Oslo, but the future couple were at this time in very different phases of their lives.

Heggedal was pregnant with her daughter Iris (19) and lived in the block with the child’s father, while Gabrielsen lived there with his then girlfriend.

You have to fast forward three years before the romance unfolded between the couple. Gabrielsen rented out her apartment while she lived in Bergen for a few years, and when she finally moved back to Rødtvet it didn’t take long before she was checked up on by Heggedal.

Heggedal had created a profile at the queer checkpoint, Gaysir, in the hope of tracking down the neighbour:

– I did it alone because I was going to try to find “the neighbor in the third”. I did, and wrote: “Hello, hello. Your neighbor from the basement here. I think you have forgotten to wash the stairs”, says Heggedal to TV 2.

Nettavisen has been in contact with Gabrielsen and Heggedal. They do not wish to comment further on the matter.

Gabrielsen received the message with great surprise, and replied back: “Oh, is that that sweet mother in the basement?”.

The 47-year-old had not expected to see Heggedal on the website, nor to be checked up.

– You had a husband and children, of course, answers Gabrielsen.

But the check line worked and Gabrielsen was finally able to confess the feelings she had for Jamina Heggedal. But it was therefore not a foregone conclusion that the two would end up together:

– I was ready, me. I had been waiting for a while already. Stine was not quite ready to be my first girlfriend. She wanted me to go out and meet some girls first. Then I did it. And then we got together, says Heggedal to TV 2.

– Maybe we’ll fall in love again

As mentioned, the couple is looking for a new experience with the reality show, and Heggedal in particular has a clear goal: to become less dependent on his wife when it comes to practical things at home.

She also hopes that they will both feel more connected to each other and that they can feel a new crush:

– That we get to take part in this adventure and do it together I think will be really good for us. Maybe we’ll fall in love again. I feel it a little already, said Heggedal in the TV 2 programme.

When Nettavisen met the “Sommerhytta” participants during the recording last summer, it seemed that the TV adventure started well for the couple, and they were surprised by their collaboration.

– Usually we don’t always cooperate very well, at least not with practical things. We prefer to do things separately, and preferably in different rooms. But here we are suddenly in a bubble together, and really surprised that we work so well together. So far, Heggedal told Nettavisen followed by a laugh.
