On Wednesday evening at 19.15 the police received a report of a serious traffic accident between a tractor and a scooter. The emergency services rushed to the scene immediately.
– A girl on a scooter was transported by air ambulance to Stavanger University Hospital, but unfortunately her life could not be saved, says police attorney Helene Bergesen.
The driver of the tractor, a boy under the age of 18, is charged in the case.
– This happens automatically in such a serious accident. He has also been temporarily deprived of his driving licence, says Bergesen.
Relatives and the driver were cared for by health personnel at the scene of the accident.
The police and the National Roads Administration’s accident team were at the scene of the accident on Thursday night. They were finished at the scene and the road was reopened around 02:00.
