Rap king Eminem (51) serves solid hints about the end of an era.

“I am Slim Shady”, rapped Eminem in 1999 – and since then the name has been his trademark.

Now Marshall Mathers, as he is originally called, has posted a bloody clip on Instagram, which appears as a kind of movie trailer for “The Detroit Murder Files”.

There, someone pretending to be a crime reporter states that someone has taken the life of “the controversial and blonde anti-hero” Slim Shady.

Rapper 50 Cent (48) also features in the video.

– He is not a friend, he is a psychopath, he says of Shady.

Eminem is of course himself. During the video, he states that he will release a new studio album in the summer.

The title is “The Death of Slim Shady”.

The followers do not take the news lightly.

«Slim Shady’s death, wait – seas in hell??? This can’t be the last album, can it?», writes a fan in the comments section.

«Slim Shady never dies», says another.

The upcoming album is the 12th in a row – and the sequel to the 2020 release “Music to Be Murdered By”.

Dry laid

The Detroit rapper earlier last weekend informed all his 42 million followers on Instagram that he has now been drug-free for 16 years.

The 51-year-old posted a picture in which he is holding a coin in his left hand. The silver coin from Alcoholics Anonymous with the number 16 inside a triangle represents the community’s three pillars – unity, service and healing.

When Eminem entered the limelight in 1999 as troublemaker Slim Shady, hardly a week went by without him appearing in the columns. He was sued by his mother and ex-wife and repeatedly got into drug and weapons trouble.

The turbulence resulted in one rehab stay and court case after another.

But now it has been a long time since the rebel found peace. After an overdose in 2007, Eminem changed his life completely. And he has steered clear of substance abuse ever since.

In 2022, he was inducted into the venerable Rock Hall of Fame.
