ARENDAL/OSLO (Dagbladet): The police must have found the murder weapon, according to Agderposten.
The woman was found around 9 o’clock on Tuesday morning. The police sounded the murder alarm on Wednesday after carrying out several investigations.
No one has been arrested in the case, and the police do not rule out that the woman may have been an accidental victim.

The police in Arendal have therefore increased preparedness with weapons and an increased presence in the city centre. Dagbladet meets police task leader Kurt Ulven just a stone’s throw away from the scene where the woman was found.
– We have visible resources present in the city centre, but also invisible ones. We want those who use the center to feel safe, and it is the police’s task to ensure that, says Ulven to Dagbladet.

Several people Dagbladet has spoken to around the crime scene say that they think it is both disgusting and scary that a murder took place in the local environment, in the middle of the city centre.

– A horrible act
The police have no suspects in the case and therefore cannot guarantee that there is no danger to others.

At a press conference earlier on Wednesday, the police said that they have little to go on when it comes to identifying the perpetrator. The police have asked the public to be open and to have a low threshold for providing tips.
– There are probably some who feel unsafe. When the reality of what has happened sinks in, it is a horrific act that many take to heart and think a lot about, says Ulven.
The murdered woman was employed at the pharmacy, which is keeping its doors closed temporarily. The dead woman has been sent for an autopsy.
– This is a small town with an incident we fortunately very rarely experience, and then it is one of the police’s tasks to ensure that those who live here feel safe, says Ulven.
