The American football community is in mourning after former Indianapolis Colts cornerback Vontae Davis was found dead at his home in Florida.
Davis lived to be only 35 years old.
The tragic death is confirmed by the local police.

– We can confirm that the deceased is Vontae Davis. So far, there is no indication that anything criminal has happened, says a statement, quoted by ESPN.
The police further report that the investigation continues. Currently, the cause of death is unknown.
During his NFL career, Davis played for the Miami Dolphins (2009-2011), Indianapolis Colts (2012-2017) and Buffalo Bills (2018).
Davies shocked most when he quit in the middle of a match in 2018. Afterwards, he explained the sensational decision by saying that he felt something was not right and that he no longer wanted to play.

In the wake of the death, several people express their support on social media.
“This is just extremely sad,” Colts owner Jim Irsay wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Our hearts are broken by the sudden death. We send our warmest thoughts to Davies’ family and friends,” the Miami Dolphins said.
