Biden assembles star team

Former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, as well as several major artists, are participating in a fundraiser for Joe Biden’s presidential campaign on Maundy Thursday.

The collection is taking place in New York and aims to raise 25 million dollars, reports the Reuters news agency.

The event will be hosted by none other than the host of “The Late Show”, Stephen Colbert.

Reuters writes that in February a total of 53 million dollars was collected for Biden’s presidential campaign, in addition to ten million dollars during the first 24 hours after Biden’s speech to Congress on the seventh of March.

Presidential candidate Donald Trump has stated the following about the Biden event:

“The Obama-Clinton cartel thinks they can beat us tomorrow, but I have something they’re never going to get,” Trump said Wednesday, referring to his own supporters.
