A car with two people has driven off county road 363, Europaveien in Bamble.

The car has driven into a stream on the spot.

– There has been a car that has come driving on the road here and ended up in the rock wall, spun around and ended up in the ditch on the outside of the road, says Bård Johansen, task leader in the South-East police district.

Two people have been taken to hospital after the accident.

– We have received feedback that one is presumably slightly injured and one may be critically injured, says Johansen.

Closed road

There is extensive material damage after the accident.

The road is closed at the roundabout at Lasse’s in Bamble.

– The road will be blocked for some time in the future, until we have taken the investigative steps we need to take in connection with the case, says the task leader from the police.

A light pole has been knocked down at the scene, the police inform X. The police are contacting the energy supplier to secure the scene.

The police are investigating what may have caused the accident.
