French dealabs.com claims that Sony will discount the Playstation 5 Slim shortly.

It took a little longer, but the disc version of the Playstation 5 Slim can be bought for around NOK 5,800 now. It is the same price many online stores charge for the model without a disk drive.

Could be around NOK 800 cheaper in March

The last time the company cut prices in parts of Europe was in February. Prices for the disk version have been around NOK 5,800 for shorter periods at selected stores in Norway – otherwise NOK 6,800 is the traditional price for the Slim version with disk drive. The digital edition has had a far smaller price cut, and usually always costs around NOK 1,000 less. Sony should have around NOK 1,400 for the disk drive if you buy it later.

But back to the offers, because the French newspaper believes that Sony will cut the price of the disc version as early as Monday 18 March (at least in France), and that by a whopping 75 euros. This corresponds to NOK 860. In Germany, Sony plans to sell the same console with Alone in the Dark for 479.99 euros (5,500 kroner) on March 20.

Sony’s console was updated this week with DualSense and group improvements, in addition to the usual performance and stability improvements.
