Line Andersen opens up about the breakup and being single

--

The final of “The Game” is fast approaching, where former NRK presenter Line Andersen (50) is one of the finalists.

The program has brought out the best and worst sides of the participants, and viewers have gotten to know Andersen, among others, in a completely new way.

– Totally crushed

Now the 50-year-old shares further details about herself, when this week she hosts the podcast “Ida with her heart in her hand”.

Knew nothing

Three years ago, the TV profile became single, after having been cohabiting for many years with former footballer Kamal Saaliti (44).

Andersen tells presenter Ida Fladen (38) that the 20-year relationship felt very secure.

Therefore, the decision from the ex came as a big shock to Andersen, when in her eyes he almost “out of the blue” chose to end it.

The breach occurred at the same time that Andersen was in an employment dispute with his former employer NRK. There she was one of NRK sport’s leading profiles, before she was taken off the screen in 2019. The parties met in court, where they ended up reaching a settlement.

Andersen thus faced two of her biggest life crises at the same time, and says in the episode that at first she did not realize that the breakup was a fact.

– Strictly speaking, I lie on a floor for two days and think “this is not happening. This is nonsense”. I thought it wasn’t true until maybe a year had passed. I simply thought that “this is not happening”.

Kamal Saaliti has not responded to Dagbladet’s inquiry.

Reveals secret “The Game” deal

– Grief for a year

Andersen says that she has been taught not to focus on the negative feelings, but that the period after the break-up is one of the toughest periods she has been through.

She further shares that the break-up and the conflict with NRK meant that she struggled with sleep and food intake, and lost a whopping 20 kilos in four months.

– I was so sad. I hope I will never be as sad again as I was then. Nevertheless, you go on the gear that you have been taught to use. But there was grief for a year.

In the middle of it all, she also lost her mother Inger-Lise to cancer. She has previously told Se og Hør that her mother’s death made her reflect on life.

– Living is a mission that I take very seriously. That’s why I didn’t have a 50-year-old crisis. It would have been like spitting on that experience, she told Se og Hør.

Reveals infatuation

There is no doubt that Andersen lives life to the fullest.

When she guested on the podcast “Høvle øve” last week, she was able to share that she has a lot of fun as a single person and that she enjoys meeting new people.

Responding to this

To Ida Fladen, Andersen could still admit that she possibly has a slightly extra good eye for someone special, even if she is not rushing into a new relationship.

– I have been in love. I have been – and am. A little, maybe. That doesn’t mean I’m in a relationship or will be, but I’m a little in love.

Line Andersen had no comment on the case.
