Tinus Dahl will be the coach for the recruit national team. The 34-year-old is leaving Team ELON Oslofjord after three years as coach for the regional team.

Earlier this spring, it became clear that Monika Kørra did not want to return to her position as recruit national team coach after her maternity leave is over.

Nor did assistant coach Jacob Walther want to renew his contract as coach for the recruiting national team. The Ski Association was thus left without a coach for the ten athletes who have been selected for the national recruit team this season.

Now it is the successful coach from the regional team Team Elon Oslofjord who takes over the tasks. Dahl is given responsibility for both women and men. He is employed in a 100 percent position.

– I am very excited and looking forward to talking to all the runners and meeting the gang for the first time. I’m really looking forward to getting started and hearing a bit more about what the athletes have done in the past. It is a group of skilled and competent runners. Together we will shape the culture, find a common philosophy and lift each other up, says Dahl in connection with the appointment.

He has trained Team ELON Oslofjord for the last three seasons, before that he was in Lyn Ski.

– I come from a team that has worked very well over several years. It is hard to leave a very good team, but at the same time I am looking forward to getting started with the Equinor national team. I have worked with four of the runners before, so I am looking forward to being reunited with them. There is a good framework around the team and I am looking forward to getting started, says Dahl.

Dahl has lived in Oslo since 2011, but originally comes from Kodal outside Sandefjord. He has been a coach at various levels for the past 13 years, of which the last eight at senior level.

National team manager Ulf Morten Aune and subject manager Per Elias Kalfoss have led the hiring process.

– Tinus is a systematic and hard-working coach who can show brilliant results for Team Elon Oslofjord. We have secured a very good trainer for the Equinor recruitment team. This appointment also shows that there are good opportunities to advance on the career ladder in the NSF system, say Aune and Kalfoss.
