The declared genius Red Bull boss is leaving Red Bull after the season.

Red Bull confirmed on Wednesday on their website that Adrian Newey is leaving the team after the 2024 season.
– For almost two decades, it has been my great honor to have played a key role in Red Bull Racing’s progress from newcomer to title-winning team. However, I feel that now is an appropriate time to hand over the baton to others and seek new challenges for myself, says Newey to Red Bull itself.
Adrian Newey is considered one of the best design managers in Formula 1 history. He has received much of the credit for Red Bull being so dominant in recent seasons.
– Newey is the mastermind behind Red Bull’s good car. It is worse for them to lose Newey than Verstappen, Formula 1 commentator in Viaplay Atle Gulbrandsen previously told VG and added:
– He is the best designer in modern times. As a car means more than a driver in Formula 1, he is, in a sense, more important than Max Verstappen.
The BBC has previously written that the allegations and investigations surrounding team manager Christian Horner are what should have made Newey uncertain. Horner was accused of sexual and harassing behavior towards a Red Bull employee. Horner has always denied the accusations.
