19.15: Turkish Galatasaray are looking for reinforcements from United. Victor Lindelöf is highly regarded in the football-mad city and, according to Aspor, is Galatasaray’s first choice as a new stopper next summer.
16.25: Manchester United are among the clubs that have shown an interest in the Crystal Palace jewel Michael Olise. On Thursday, the BBC writes that the London club will demand over £60 million to release the English-born midfielder who has age-defining international matches for France.
There is no clause in Olise’s contract which means that Palace must accept a given sum and the club obviously wants to make as much profit as possible from a possible sale. Olise’s former club, Reading, also has a significant resale clause which means that Palace will probably be clear in what they demand in the transfer fee for the 22-year-old.
3:30 p.m.: The new sporting management at Manchester United is said to be planning a large-scale clean-up in the player base and as many as twelve players could be on the way out, while the aim is to bring in six new players, writes David McDonnell in The Mirror .
Among the players that the INEOS-based management will be willing to sell is the defensive quartet Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire although there should be some doubt about the latter after Maguire’s importance this spring.
It is also expected that Casemiro and Christian Eriksen can disappear, while Sofyan Amrabat will return to parent club Fiorentina after the loan period expires at the end of the season.
In the attack line, United must be willing to listen to offers Antony and Jadon Sanchowhile one is also no stranger to the idea of letting Marcus Rashford leave the club if a solid offer comes in.
Anthony Martial’s contract expires at the end of the season and the injury-plagued Frenchman is expected to leave the club for free this summer.
Among the players linked to United by the Mirror are Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaitethe Bayer Leverkusen duo Edmond Tapsoba and Jeremy Frimpongthe Wolves players João Gomes and Pedro Netoas well as Borussia Dortmund’s Donyell Malen.
08.00: Manchester United are said to be interested in the Brentford forward Ivan Toney, reports the website 90mins.com. The website writes that an asking price of at least £50 million is expected from Brentford, but although it is a significant amount, it is far lower than what most other media have reported.
Toney has a contract with Brentford until the 2024/25 season, but it is expected that he will leave this summer so that Brentford can demand a transfer fee.

08.34: French Foot Mercato writes that Manchester United and Chelsea are following the 21-year-old RB Leipzig stopper Castello Lukeba.
United must have followed his performances closely for a few weeks, and Lukeba must have impressed after the transfer from Lyon with his physique, duel strength, positioning and ability to take the ball out of defence.
The player has a €70m (£60.2m at current exchange rate) buyout clause that runs from 2025 and RB Leipzig reportedly have no intention of selling this summer.
Lukeba made his debut for the French A national team in October.

19.49: James Ducker in the Daily Telegraph writes that there is still at least a £13m gap between Manchester United and Newcastle United when it comes to getting a compensation deal in place for Dan Ashworth.
Newcastle want around £15m – plus £5m in possible additional payments for Ashworth. United are said to have proposed a compensation of around 2 million, which should be the sum Newcastle paid to bring Ashworth from Brighton two years ago.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe had talks with Newcastle director Amanda Staveley earlier this month in the hope of resolving the situation, but the distance between the clubs is still large.
If Newcastle do not lower their demands considerably, then there is no expectation at Old Trafford to bring in Ashworth before the summer, and the club feels that the money to get Ashworth out of the quarantine period can be better spent by spending it on player purchases. United are prepared to wait until the autumn or until the end of the calendar year if necessary to bring in Ashworth, writes Ducker.
09.55: Not directly Manchester United-related, but we still include that David de Gea, who is still without a club after leaving Old Trafford last summer, is said to be wanted by Spanish side Real Betis. That’s what The Sun writes.

17.25: The German journalist Christopher Michel signs X that Rosenborg’s Swear Nypan (17) should be on Manchester United’s radar towards the January window in 2025. The young Trønder has become an important piece in Rosenborg’s midfield over the past year.
11.05 a.m.: According to L’Équipe, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal are among the clubs interested in Real Madrid’s 28-year-old left-back Ferland Mendy.
The Spanish giants have made good money from player sales to Manchester United over the past ten years. Both Angel Di Maria, Raphaël Varane and Casemiro have swapped Madrid for Manchester since 2014.
11 a.m.: Italian Calciomercato must have it that Adrien Rabiot is on Manchester United’s radar, and that a move could be made if the French midfielder does not extend his contract with Juventus in the summer.
