With just over 150 matches in total in the Eliteserien during his career, Krogstad is almost a veteran at the top level in Norway.

After seven years in Lillestrøm from 2015, the trip went to Stabæk, but after the 2023 season the contract with the club from Nadderud expired.

Since then, the 28-year-old has been looking for a new club, and now, according to Nettavisen’s information, he is in the process of signing for the Polish club Korona Kielce.

The club plays in the Polish top division, and now brings Krogstad on a contract until the end of the season if the final formalities go in order, according to Nettavisen’s knowledge.

Korona Kielce, based in the city of Kielce in southern Poland, is in 15th place in the Ekstraklasa.

Last winter, Krogstad made headlines when he appeared at Vålerenga training. The former Lillestrøm player was allowed to participate to keep his form in check, at the same time that VIF needed more players in training.

The fact that Krogstad trained with his former arch-rivals came as a surprise to many. The 28-year-old has previously been clear that he chose Vålerenga at a younger age.

In 2020, Krogstad moved to Etterstad in the middle of Vålerenga country and told Avisa Oslo that he could not play for Vålerenga with his background as an LSK player.

– I could never do that. Even if you don’t hate Vålerenga in the same way as the supporters do, you are slowly or surely taught that Vålerenga is not good, he told the newspaper.

– Now I have also been in Lillestrøm for so long that I could never go to Vålerenga. There aren’t many players who have done that, and I think I would have had a blast. If there is someone who does it, I hope they get a ride too. Because you just don’t do that, said Krogstad.

There was a big uproar when former LSK coach Bakke took over Vålerenga in the middle of last season and left LSK overnight. There was no success as the coach led the team to relegation to the Obos league.

This winter, Petter Myhre came in as assistant coach in Vålerenga. He joined LSK when Bakke left the club.
