Don’t understand what Tesla is doing

Elon Musk has fired the entire team responsible for the Supercharger network at Tesla. The world’s richest man says he is in “hardcore” mode again.

The news comes after more than 10 percent of the employees have to leave the company, which is struggling in a saturated electric car market, which meant that Musk dropped a visit to India, but a short time ago Tesla secured the right to FSD in China. The company will announce a “Robotaxi” in August and has accelerated the launch of a cheap car from next year to this year.

Now Electrek’s sources report that the company has already dropped several new charging stations, shortly after Musk’s memo was sent out internally:

“Sources familiar with the matter told Electrek that Tesla pulled out of four leases for upcoming Supercharger locations in New York: one in Maspeth, South Bronx, two in Queens and one in Gateway Center, Brooklyn,” said the electric car- the newspaper.

Editor Fred Lambert states he is “really confused that Tesla is firing its charging team. If one thing was a clear success at Tesla, it is the Supercharger network,” Lambert points out, who also points out that the company has recently won the charging standard: “…which made NACS the new standard in North America and all other car manufacturers who adopt and jump on board with the Supercharger network.” The network now consists of 57,579 chargers spread over 6,249 locations in the world.
