Nordmann (46) sentenced to life in prison for castrating several men in England

The man is said to have belonged to an environment of so-called “nullos”, men who choose to be castrated. Norwegian sexologists do not know how many cases there are in this country.

The grotesque case has been pending in the British legal system for several years. On Thursday, a 46-year-old man from Drammen was sentenced to life in prison. The life sentence has a minimum term of 22 years, writes Sky News.

The Norwegian ran the website the-em.com and was known as the “eunuch maker”. He castrated other men while people paid to watch. Among what he has now been convicted of are five counts of grievous bodily harm to another person, conspiracy to cause such harm to others, and the production and distribution of indecent images.

According to the verdict, the man must have earned 300,000 pounds, equivalent to four million kroner, from the business. Several of the victims will need extensive medical follow-up for the rest of their lives.

He has been imprisoned since he was arrested in December 2021. Sky News writes that the man must have pleaded guilty to a number of the conditions. Nine other men have admitted that they have been involved in the business.

The judge in the case has referred to the whole thing as a “human slaughterhouse”. Sky News writes that body parts removed from other men were stored in a freezer, and that there is evidence of cannibalism. The prosecution has indicated that photos were found on the man’s phone showing him preparing testicles with salad for lunch on a summer day in 2018.

Known of one case in Norway

The Norwegian has also had himself castrated, and is thus a “nullo” – which stands for genital nullification, where the penis and testicles are removed.

According to a study from 2014, there are 10-15,000 “nullos” worldwide. Two-thirds of them never tell anyone that they have had their genitals removed.

Sexologist Esben “Esther Pirelli” Benestad, who has treated trans people for several decades, says that he is aware of one case where a person amputated his own penis in Norway, so-called “autopenis amputation”. It happened several years ago.

– It happens that transgender people become so desperate that they do such things, says Benestad, who refers to the lack of treatment services from the public sector.

Some professionals believe that extreme body part discomfort is behind a desire to amputate one’s genitals and become a “zero”. Benestad says that he does not know if this is the reason why people have contacted the Norwegian in London about amputations.

– What I have read is that one of them wants to look like the doll Ken, who is penisless. There are very strong driving forces behind it, and there are few professionals who understand how strong those forces are, says Benestad.

Met “nullos” at a conference

Sexologist and psychology specialist Thore Langfeldt says that he first heard about “nullos” when he helped organize the symposium for “The World Professional Association for Transgender Health” in Oslo in 2009. There appeared 4-5 “nullos”, British or Americans.

According to Langfeldt, they demanded the floor during his own lecture on ethics and social media and demanded respect for his sexual orientation “or whatever they called it”.

– Why do they want to be castrated?

– I have no idea. They would be neither one nor the other. There are so many weird and fixed ideas when it comes to sexuality. That’s because sexuality has been suppressed for thousands of years. Then people do a lot of strange things.

Langfeldt is not aware that there is an active zero environment in Norway.
