Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, Cody Gakpo and Harvey Elliott provided Liverpool say in a raucous match against Tottenham.

After 60 minutes, the match looked punctuated, but the visitors from London hit back with two quick goals by Richarlison and Son Heung-min towards the eve of the match which provided excitement.

After 80 minutes, Salah had another great chance to extend the lead and extinguish all Spurs hopes, but from close range, Salah missed completely when he was free a few meters from the goal.

The Athletic’s Liverpool reporter James Pearce could hardly believe what he saw when the Egyptian wasted the opportunity.

Liverpool have struggled heavily in recent weeks after being left behind in the title race. On Sunday, most people believed that Jurgen Klopp’s team appeared in a completely different way.

– Pace and intensity in abundance – looks like a completely different team to what we have seen in the last six weeks, Pearce pointed out during the match.

Towards the end of the match, it wavered strongly back and forth. Tottenham threw a lot of men into attack which gave Liverpool a lot of space to frolic.

However, there were no more goals and thus an upturn for Liverpool. The result is a major setback for Tottenham, who must see their Champions League hopes fade away.
