Sabreen al-Sakani was born by caesarean section at an Emirati hospital in Rafah shortly after midnight on Sunday.
The doctors revived the baby with the use of a lung pump, but the girl died on Thursday and has been buried next to her mother, according to the British broadcaster.
The doctors at the hospital said on Monday that she was in a bad condition, but that she was getting better
The girl was one of 16 children killed in two Israeli attacks in Rafah last weekend.
The mother was seven and a half months pregnant. The mother and father were both killed, while the baby was still alive in the mother’s womb.
The baby was taken to hospital, stabilized and placed in an incubator. Doctors described her as critically injured.
– Malak wanted to name his sister “Rouh”. It means “soul” in Arabic, Rami Al-Sheikh, the girl’s uncle, said earlier this week.
