TV 2 has signed with the brothers Vegard Ylvisåker (43) and Bård Ylvisåker (40). It is written by TV 2.
The brothers have been hired to strengthen the channel’s humor initiative, and are looking forward to getting started on new projects.
– We were thrown into a van and driven to a warehouse where we were forced to sign a contract while blindfolded. It was quite scary, but the relief was great when it turned out in retrospect that it was TV 2 that we had signed with – and what’s more, with very tidy terms for both parties. We are looking forward to being part of TV 2’s offensive humor venture and hope and believe that our projects will thrive with the TV 2 logo in the corner, says the duo.
Program editor at TV 2, Kathrine Haldorsen, is pleased that the brothers will be part of the channel’s humor initiative.
– This is an important part of TV 2’s major investment in humor and we are both happy and proud that Ylvis will be part of this. The boys are now busy developing a new program for us, which we look forward to telling you more about later, says Haldorsen to TV 2.
According to TV 2, the brothers allowed themselves to be tempted when they were told that the channel focuses heavily on humour.
– It bodes well for our dream project – “Ylvis, LIVE from Marianergropen”, which has turned out to be a little more expensive than first thought. In any case, we will continue as before with trying to make the best programs we can. So we hope and believe that TV 2’s transmitters are powerful enough to send what we make out to the whole country, they say.
