Sports, Football | Good news: HA will send the local settlements in the 5th division

It is the streaming provider MyGame that has the rights to show Norwegian football from the 5th division and below.

Therefore, Halden Arbeiderblad did not show any of the local settlements between Idd and Berg in 2023.

But after the TTIF also became part of the 5th division, there has been even greater demand from people who are happy with grassroots football.

Many questions

MyGame has not placed cameras at either Tistedal Stadium, Berg Stadium or Risum artificial grass. Thus, the matches have not been streamed anywhere in the last year.

HA has now entered into an agreement with MyGame to borrow the rights to the matches between TTIF, Berg and Idd. Basically, it applies to the three matches before the summer, but most likely the agreement will be extended to the matches after the summer and, unless MyGame places cameras during the season.

– One of the questions we have received the most times from the sports editors in the past year is why we do not show the games in the 5th division. The fact that we have not had the rights has made it challenging, but we are very happy to find a solution with MyGame, says sports leader in Halden Arbeiderblad Sebastian Backe Eriksen.

He also thanks streaming manager Petter Jacobsen who, after several attempts, got the country an agreement before the first local settlement between TTIF and Berg.

Important game for both teams

On Friday at 19.00 it will be a blast at the Berg stadium. There, TTIF will try to rectify what has been a mediocre start to the season, while Berg can get as many points as league leader Idd with a win at home.

– We obviously hope as many as possible will find their way out to Berg today and get some delicious grassroots football with them. At the same time, we know that many people also appreciate being able to watch the match from home. We notice that the interest in the 5th division in particular is great this year, and we also saw that after we launched the video series “Battle of the 5th division” before the season, says Eriksen.

The other two local settlements before the summer are currently scheduled for 30 May at 20:00. Then TTIF will welcome Idd at Tistedal stadium, while Berg will again be the home team when Idd will visit Berg stadium on 7 June at 19:00.
