At many bus stops in the city of Bergen, it overflows with rubbish. It would perhaps be better not to have bins in these sheds, in the hope that people will then take their rubbish to other bins, or take it home.
The base pans were overcrowded all last week – and so was the ground. They haven’t been emptied in days and it’s getting worse every day. Do we want it that way? Who is responsible for this?
Someone needs to take action here! This does not help the critical rat situation in our city. In addition, it is very unpleasant with all this littering.
Vestland County Council responds:
As for the boss basket in Kong Oscars gate, there has been a misunderstanding there. We made a new agreement with Bergen municipality this year, and unfortunately the bucket in this reading session was not included and has therefore not been emptied.
The waste basket at Stadsporten must be emptied once a day. We have had some challenges here with private bosses being put in our boss baskets, which means that it fills up quickly.
The boss basket was recently changed to a larger container, but it is possible that this is not sufficient. It should not float with boss around our boss baskets, so this will be followed up. We do not want it to look as shown in the picture.
