The coming days will not bring the very best weather for Ålesund and Sunnmøre, as a front will pass over Friday evening and Saturday, says meteorologist on duty Lars Andreas Selberg.

– It will probably come with quite a bit of precipitation and probably a little over ten degrees at most.

After that, the meteorologist is pretty sure of good weather.

– Sunday to Tuesday looks good, with maximum temperatures above 15 degrees and probably some sun.

The Ørstings had to make do with four degrees, light rain and snow far down in the mountains last year.

With eight days left until National Day, Selberg clarifies that there are different things forecasts in game.

– What is happening now is that there is a weak, small low pressure over the Oslofjord. It has a front over Møre and Romsdal and is something that will create a lot of uncertainty.

Here there are indications of some rain on 17 May.

– There is a low probability of a lot of precipitation and 40 percent for some precipitation, but it is still early and difficult to say.

He quickly adds that the previous forecast had no rainfall.

– It had slightly better weather. There is nothing bombastic and certain. Here you have to keep up to date. In any case, I hope and believe in good weather in Ålesund and on Sunnmøre on National Day, says Lars Andreas Selberg.
