On Wednesday, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration had control of Gullbotn. There they placed a camera some distance away from the checkpoint.
It reads registration plates and alerts inspectors if road tax or insurance is unpaid.

1137 vehicles were read, two were stopped. On the one hand, there was no payment for re-registration. The second was separated because EU control had not been carried out by the deadline.
– It is quite good that only two vehicles were stopped at this check, says Joakim Ådland.
A further 67 vehicles were stopped. There were deficiencies in 27 of them, according to inspector Ådland.
Two of them were banned from use. One because it had a worn load strap, the other due to overloading.
A car with a trailer was banned from use because the driver’s license did not allow such a car to be driven.
