Picking one bottle at a time from the bag, then placing them exactly into the slot on the deposit machine, is a ritual that most of us have gone through.
But now you have the chance to empty the entire pawn shop in a couple of seconds. On Wednesday, a new deposit machine was in place at Rema 1000 in Frekhaug.
Olga Radionenko was one of those who emptied the bag into the mortgage gap on the opening day.
After some assistance from the merchant, the hatch opens and swallows all the deposit in the blink of an eye.
– This is exciting and time-saving, she notes.
Travelled
Vågenes says that spring and good weather lately have led to busy days in the shop. Because then the cabin people also come to shop and pledge.
Jane comes by with a bag before the shopping trip. She has noticed that the machines are available in Austlandet, and thinks it is great that there is now one in Frekhaug as well.
– This was nice, now it is much faster to deposit, she says.
Merchant Aleksander Vågenes is proud to be the first store in the region with this type of machine.
– The machines we had started to become ripe for replacement. So then we “go” on with one like this.
Better capacity
The new deposit machines are a big investment, but Vågenes is convinced that both the employees and the customers will benefit from it.
– There is a bit more daily maintenance, with cleaning and such. But it is much more efficient, so the overall time remains the same, he says and continues:
– In addition, it has twice the capacity of the old ones and therefore does not have to be emptied as often. It has two parts so you can empty one and avoid downtime.
