– I think that food and music are a great combination, says Stine Elise Eikefet.
Eikefet has previously played in pubs in Manchester, at the Utkant festival and in Gamleskulen in Eikanger. On Friday evening, she will be on stage in the tent at the Nordhordland Food Festival.
She describes her music as soothing songs for people who enjoy storytelling. She has several releases behind her, and she is currently working on a brand new album.
– I am almost finished with the album and I am looking forward to releasing it. There will also be songs from there.
Several artists
There are several local artists who provide the “soundtrack” for the evening in Knarvik. Richard Hindenes, Hanne Vatnøy and Linn Haaland will also be on stage.
– We will play some songs from my previous album, it is a bit in the soul track, says Haaland.
The artist from Knarvik also mixes in some jazz, and with her on stage, she has someone who is also known in other waters.
– My brother Lasse is on guitar, so it will be good, she says of her brother, who on a daily basis plays in the punk band Still Shaking, which has been on tour in Europe and most recently in the USA.
– I’m really looking forward to it. It’s nice when something happens in the local environment, and I hope people show up. And then it’s nice that they want to hear, I think it’s very nice that something is happening in the local environment, I hope they want to show up and it’s nice that they’ve heard when I play, says Haaland.
New material from Hanne
Hanne Vatnøy has had a long and rich career. She has experienced both frequent tournaments and radio play.
In April she released an album under the stage name HAVA, it is about fear and not least about overcoming it.
– The ten pop songs on Fearless are meant to bring something extra to everyone who needs to be cheered on, Vatnøy told NH earlier this spring.
