Fire in a detached house in Tauningvegen

The fire brigade puts all cloths in place to prevent spreading to the terrain.

On Saturday afternoon, the fire service responded to a fire in a detached house by Dalsvatnet in Hyllestad.

They received the message at 16.29.

The police write that the residents must have got out of the house, which is fully engulfed in flames.

– The house must be independent, says duty commander at the 110 central Helge Lund.

Calling out the Civil Defense

The police report that the fire service has observed flames coming out of the window of the detached house.

The fire service is concerned that the fire will spread.

– We put all cloths in to prevent it from spreading to the terrain, says guard commander Helge Lund.

– To assist in limiting the spread.

Warning of forest fire danger in Hyllestad

Lund describes that there is dense vegetation in the area and high radiant heat from the house. In addition, there is a forest fire warning in Hyllestad.

At 17.50, the 110 center reports that they currently have good control over the terrain, and are drenching it with water.

– We will probably put out the fire eventually, but the house is probably completely damaged. It will be a controlled burn.

He praises the fire service and the Civil Defense in the field for their efforts.

– They have made a persistent effort to gain control, so it is a job well done.

At 18.06 the police report that they are also on the scene.

– There is no longer a danger of fire in the terrain, reports the police.
