The police in Nordland have decided to raise the much talked about freezer box that was found in the sea outside Innhavet on Hamarøy.
Police attorney Torje Imøy tells Avisa Nordland.
– Must be investigated further
– Must be done properly
However, when the lifting will take place and in what way has not yet been decided.
– This must be done properly. It is a laborious task to get down to the seabed and secure the object in a proper way, says Imøy to Avisa Nordland.
As Dagbladet mentioned at the weekend, the freezer was found in the same area where missing Stian Hole (41) stayed when he disappeared last summer.
Three accused
The police have no information that the freezer can be linked to Hole’s disappearance, but they still want to clarify what it contains.
The last sure sign of life from Hole is 7 June last year. Last autumn, three people were arrested, remanded in custody and charged with murder or complicity in the murder of the 41-year-old.
All have denied criminal guilt throughout, and they were released from custody in March.
