On Tuesday at 09.25, Sør-Öst 110 reports a traffic accident in Porsgrunn.

According to the fire service, the accident happened on Herøya.

It is so far unknown what caused the accident. It is also not known if there are any injuries.

– Report of a traffic accident at the roundabout at Herøyavegen, says operations manager Tom Richard Skuggedal.

Fire and health are on site. It is a single accident with only one car involved. There is major material damage to the car and the fire brigade worked for a while to get the driver out of the car.

The car has driven over a roundabout and into a garden.

The extent of the driver’s injuries is so far unknown, but he is being taken to hospital.

The police are working to get an overview of the course of events.

Task leader Bård Johansen tells TA that the car lost control, drove down a retaining wall, through a hedge and ended up in a garden.

– There is major material damage to the car, says Johansen and adds that there is no suspicion of drunken driving. He further adds that one person has been taken to hospital.

– There are witnesses to the incident, says Johansen in conclusion.
