The case is updated.

On Tuesday morning, Telenor presents its figures for the first quarter of the year, and there it emerges that the development in Norway is not the best. Turnover in the first three months of the year fell by NOK 179 million.

However, the profit increased to NOK three billion at EBITDA level, up from NOK 2.86 billion. Among other things, Telenor writes in the quarterly report that the company has cut costs in Norway by two percent, or around NOK 40 million.

The cost cuts come as a result of, among other things, lower marketing costs.

The mobile giant is also experiencing a drop in the number of mobile customers and TV customers compared to the corresponding period last year. The number of mobile customers decreased by 50,000 customers to 2.631 million customers. On the TV side, the number of customers shrinks by 24,000 in one year and the company has 508,000 TV customers at the end of the first quarter of the year.

A business area that is holding up is the sale of internet subscriptions, where the number of customers remains stable at 724,000 customers.
