Lions Club Mo i Rana has collected a lot of money to buy defibrillators which they have given to larger sports arenas in the city. They have delivered both to Fagårsbakkene, Ytteren stadion, Stålhallen, Rana FK, Ranahallen and the golf course.
Both on Skillevollen and Haukne’s artificial turf, they had heart attacks from before when the Lions offered them.
Top quality
And Lions provides defibrillators of the highest quality.
– We choose to buy them from the Red Cross. Then we also support their work, and we think they sell defibrillators that they themselves vouch for, says secretary Bjørnar Strømhaug in Lions Club Mo i Rana.
The defibrillators they provide have a value of up to NOK 30,000. It is possible to buy a defibrillator for NOK 8,000, but the price also suggests the quality.

Lions have income from coffee sales in the Klokkerhagen during the summer. In winter, they shovel loose sand that is sold in several shops and petrol stations.
– We have shoveled 50-60 tonnes of sand to get surplus for such things. We use to say when we give defibrillators that we hope they never come into use, says Strømhaug.
Clearly visible
Kim Haugnes and Agnethe Bjørkhaug in Max Arena Gruben appreciate the gift very much. It must hang clearly visible in the reception. In a hall of over 10,000 square meters with a lot of activity, you never know when a defibrillator might be needed. And if something should happen on the outside, it is also available.
