Elgis on nach woke up in a residential area

The mascot for the Elvebris festival in Elverum was brought along to the nachspiel, says festival organizer Tore Hagen.

It was the Easterner who mentioned the matter first.

The moose, which is five meters high and 4.5 meters wide, has its permanent place outside Rema 1000 along Trysilveien.

– Something muffled

– On the night of Sunday, it disappeared. I got a call from the shop owner at Rema 1000 who wondered if I had moved him. No, I haven’t, I said. Then I realized that something really bad was going on, says Hagen to VG.

He himself had driven past Elgis at midnight and another credible witness said that the mascot was in its place at 01:45.

– He disappeared after the nightlife ended, says Hagen, who published a wanted post on Facebook in the hope of solving the mystery of his disappearance.

Not long after, there were messages on the phone about where the moose had gone. One of them was from the “kidnappers.”

– Wanted to stretch my legs

– He accidentally wanted to stretch his legs when we passed by, they wrote.

The Nachspielmates left Elgis in the dead of night. But before they said goodbye, they plugged him into the socket in the garage of a random house so he could get some air to keep his shape the next day.

– The landlord was very surprised when I rang. He did not understand what had happened, says Hagen, who brought Elgis home on Sunday morning.

The person who was very surprised was home owner Tri Kollstrøm Nguyen (40).

– We heard nothing. Suddenly it just appeared. My son said: “Dad, there’s a big balloon elk in our driveway,” says Nguyen to VG.

At first he thought the nine-year-old son was joking.

– Then the person who owns the moose called, Nguyen says with a laugh.

Tore Hagen was there.

– He was tired

– How is Elgis’ form now?

– He has some wear marks and holes, but was patched up. He was tired after the weekend’s hardships, but he survived and is in full vigor and looking forward to hosting Elvebris, says Hagen.

The moose also cost NOK 50,000.

– HustleThe dash is great fun as long as everything is fine with Elgis. But now he must be allowed to be in safe and familiar surroundings, concludes Hagen.
