Violent incident in Oslo: – Charged with attempted murder

--

Two men will be produced for remand in Oslo District Court on Thursday afternoon.

They are both charged with attempted murder after a violent episode at Hauketo in Oslo on the night of Wednesday, police attorney Ulrikke Simonette Basthus told Dagbladet.

Found injured man

The police received a report about the hitherto unknown incident at 00.45 at night, and rushed to the scene.

– They found a person with bodily injury, where it was unclear what had happened. The police opened a case on the matter. The case was initially coded for bodily harm, which was later changed to attempted murder, says Basthus to Dagbladet.

Police attorney Maria Haugland Johnsen attends as prosecutor in both prison hearings on Thursday, but does not wish to comment on the case.

Denies criminal liability

Lawyer Petter Bonde, defending the one man, is reticent to comment on the case.

– My client denies criminal guilt for attempted murder and will petition to be released from custody, but beyond that I have no comment, says Bonde to Dagbladet.

Lawyer Lars Leversen, defending the other accused man, does not want to comment on the case.
